Last week, everything was new and felt so different. This week, it almost felt normal going to work here and living in a new city. It doesnt't feel like I've been here for two weeks. It feels like I have been here for ages. It is crazy how fast you can get used to your new surroundings.
My days were full of work, sight-seeing, reading and eating Spanish food. I tried paella for the first time, and it was delicious!!
At work I got to know new collegues and I was introduced to new tasks, which I quite enjoyed. Even though I mainly speak English with the staff and hotel guests, I noticed that I had less trouble understanding Spanish and I even feel more confident speaking it.
It feels like I have seen a lot of the city but I know I haven't even seen half of the treasures it offers. But due to the hot weather I can only go out exploring the city in the afternoons and evenings when the sun stops trying to grill me. At least a bit. It is still unimaginably hot. But that's what you have a beach for. Going there is next on my list and I don't think I will be disappointed.
