Dear Ladies and Gents, week 3 has already passed and a lot happened this week!
First of all, I switched from procurement to sales. So, basically from the ones who spend the money to the ones who earn it.
I also got started on the database, which is my project for the rest of the stay. Here my Excel skills come in handy, so thank you Miss Schustereder for now being able to show off with all the nitty gritty stuff that I was taught!
One of the less fun activities was the training I had to do this week. This consisted of 8 hours of videos from bad PowerPoint presentations that taught me all the Italian laws that workers and employers had to follow. (I fell asleep... twice...)
All of this concluded in a test that I had to pass, otherwise I would have had to rewatch everything. Luckily I passed! :)
Besides all of this, the major highlight was the trip with my former colleagues from the procurement department to Padova (a bigger city 1 hour away from Schio), which was so much fun! (I also probably ate the best pizza there in my entire life)
The other highlight was when I went to visit Asiago. It is a small village up in the mountains.
The reason I went there was because I found the style of the buildings very intriguing. It is in my opinion a mixture between Italian and Austrian villages.
Fascinating and beautiful in my opinion! However, finding a place to park was quite an adventure as there were more cars than houses. (I somehow managed to find a parking space by driving without any plan into the middle of nowhere and then returning by accident by following some random car. Quite an adventure too...)
Sadly the war memorial was also closed, which I definitely wanted to visit as it looks simply impressive!
However, visiting Asiago was still well worth the visit in my opinion!
See you next week!
