Theresa: First Impressions of Sweden

Hi, my name is Theresa and I'll be taking you with me for the four weeks of my internship abroad.

I landed in Stockholm a little late on Saturday and travelled by car from the airport to Södermalm, the district that will be my home for the four weeks here. I rented a spacious flat here, which is right in the centre of Södermalm and yet in a very quiet neighbourhood.

My work at Palfinger AB in Jordbro starts at 8.00 a.m., so I commute directly from Södermalm to Jordbro by train for half an hour. After work this week, there was always time to explore the city a little. This city is a must for all shopping lovers!

There are many shopping streets and even an old fashion district, where almost only second-hand and older fashion is sold. The colourful mix of old town and modern buildings offers all kinds of activities, from museums to an amusement park located on Östermalm.

This week I have already visited the famous Abba Museum. It was not only the bizarre costumes that stood out, but also the concert in London, where for the first time the artists themselves were not on stage, but were projected onto the stage with computer-animated holograms. All in all, the museum is definitely recommended.

I hope I was able to give you some good impressions and look forward to spoiling you with posts over the next few weeks.
