Unfortunately, the time has come for me to tell you about my last week. Time flies and the last unforgettable memories have been created which I now want to share with you.
On Monday, our childhood memories were reawakened because we decided to watch the new Barbie film together at the cinema. We all went to the cinema dressed in pink to experience the Barbie feeling first hand.
The next day, I had another excursion with the language school in the afternoon, which this time took us to the el Born district and then to the Ciutadella Park. That's why I came home a bit later that day.
Wednesday was the big surprise day: We made ourselves a kind of memory of our time together in Barcleona, because we all went to the tattoo and piercing studio. We had already arranged this for weeks in advance and hadn't told anyone because it was also a surprise for our parents. I was more than nervous the whole day because I suffer from a panic needle phobia. Not only me, but also Luisa felt the same way and the way to my 3 new ear piercings was not easy, but I am glad to have finally made it. We all got our ears pierced, except for Sophia who decided to get a tattoo as a little remembrance of her rabbit.
On Thursday we went to a rooftop bar to enjoy the sunset and the view over the city, but unfortunately we expected too much because it started to rain and we couldn't see the sunset through the clouds. So we tried our luck again the next day at the beach. We went there on Friday evening and this time the plan worked out and we actually got to see a sunset. We spent the rest of the evening on the beach and enjoyed the last sunrays and the last cooling off in the sea, because the next day we went back home.
Since we wanted to use Saturday, our last day, productively, we got up at 4:45 am to drive to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was really beautiful and definitely worth getting up early. Afterwards, we drove back home to pack up our last things and clean the flat one last time. Then we drove to the airport. After 10 hours of travelling, I finally made it home. I reviewed everything in my head and all the wonderful memories that I had created with my friends came to my mind again. I was sad and happy at the same time to be back home, but I could definitely imagine staying longer in Barcelona.
However, I am also happy to have my life back here in Salzburg.
One last message to you: if you have the opportunity to do an Erasmus+ internship abroad, do it! It was one of the best experiences of my life.
Best wishes and enjoy the rest of your summer
