Our final day in Helsinki began at Perho Campus, where we held an evaluation and feedback session about what we have achieved. It was interesting to hear everyone’s experiences and reflect on what we have learned.
After that we headed downtown to visit the Old Market Hall, a historic marketplace filled with local specialties. As we walked through, we saw a variety of traditional Finnish foods on display, including reindeer, elk, and even bear salami. The stalls also offered sweet treats like cinnamon rolls, which were hard to resist. We also enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the market.
Following that, we headed to the Design Museum, which provided a thoughtful look into Finland’s design legacy. The exhibits showcased Finland’s minimalist and functional design principles, with pieces ranging from everyday objects to iconic works by Finnish designers, also explaining how these pieces shaped Finnish culture.
Later, we made our way by train to the airport, where we had a final coffee at the Espresso House, reflecting on the past few days. It was a good moment to relax before starting our journey back home. Our flight took us through Frankfurt before we arrived in Salzburg. The return trip went smoothly – if bumpily, and we arrived safely.
Overall, the trip provided valuable experiences, and we appreciated the chance to explore Helsinki while learning about Finnish culture.
