After our visit to the Perho Töölö campus yesterday, today we headed to the Malmi campus, where the Perho Business College is located. First, we had the exciting opportunity to join an "English for Customer Service" class with other Finnish students. For us it was a great first chance to exchange between students through a group task.
After a short tour through their personal farm, we participated in a marketing class, where we formed small mixed groups, with both Finnish and Austrian students, to start working on a marketing concept for the Finnish company North Outdoor. Our task was to develop a plan for the company’s expansion into the Austrian market. The diverse teams allowed us to get a better understanding for cultural differences between Austria and Finland, and what factors could be important to consider while working on the concept.
During the afternoon, the work got intense, and we made good progress on the project. Tomorrow, we’ll finalise and present our concepts. The rest of the afternoon was free, giving us time to explore more of Helsinki, do some shopping or simply relax.
We’re looking forward to seeing how our projects are going to turn out!
